It’s fantastic to see the progress it’s making, and I’m glad it’s been noticed by Plex in general. I’d say it’s not flawless, but it’s as close to perfect as any other music player I’ve used. Plexamp: Almost The Perfect Music Playeīecause of the wide range of formats available, Plexamp is a fantastic music player. Loudness leveling, true gapless playback, sweet fades, soft transitions, a configurable preamp, and a seven-band EQ are just a few of the benefits of using this app. This beautiful, dedicated Plex music player comes with a number of useful features designed for audiophiles, music enthusiasts, and music fans of all ages who want to get their next fix from a high-quality audio player. The audio it delivers is good but I’m going to have to put it against some other players to see if I can actually spot much past “slightly better”. That said, the instant next track is nice. I’m assuming the album art mismatch was on the Plex Server side as my MP3 libraries have been there since time immemorial, but it was amusing to run across. This may have nothing to do with Plexamp and more to do with having too much time on my hands. I may be tripping on this particular bit but every “tok” of a notification I get feels like it’s going an extra half second on fade in and out. There is a mixer (home, settings, equalizer,) but the settings for equalizer don’t appear to have any way to save a preset.
